Need ideas for storing a pizza stone.

I know some of you are pretty creative. 

I have a Red Sky pizza stone that I really like, but it's kind of a pain taking it out and putting it back in the box it comes in, so I was thinking about getting something else to store it in, like a padded bag of some sort.

Dimensions are:
20 ½” wide x 16” long x .6 “ high.

Looks like this:


Any ideas?

Keep it in another kettle, fully devoted to this use.

Agree with Stavlund.  Kettle storage is the best.  Is there a reason these stones should be 'wrapped up' between uses?

I like the dedicated kettle idea, just not sure the wife would go for it.

None other than some sort of protection I guess... I'd leave it outside but I'm guessing during the winter months the extreme temp change from 0-400+ could have ill effects.

An art store may have a portfolio bag that are approximately those dimensions. Then you'd be able to store it in the kitchen or wherever cleanly.

Check out a "Guitar center" or online (Ebay maybe?)  for a 22" cymbal gig bag.  Obviously the name brand ones are pricey, but there have to be el cheapos out there.

Funny, I thought about a cymbol case too... those buggers are expensive, haven't found a cheapie yet. I also went looking for an art bag, they had some that would work, but the ones that were big enough for either too flimsy or too expensive, the in between one that I really wanted (and actually the only one with some padding) was too small.

I'll keep digging, great ideas guys!
