I stopped in to Home Depot to grab some Cowboy Lump on sale and saw the sear grate set marked to $38.

That is about the price of the support grate alone. If you were considering this it might be a good time to check it out.

Oh ya, got myself ten bags of the lump... :)

So is this for the regular grate w/ the cast iron insert to it?  Does it have the regular grate insert in it also?

Yes, you can switch between them.

That's a great deal! I'm tempted to get another set myself for that price.

Sorry, so that is the original gourmet grill (including standard insert) plus the sear grate insert?

That would be A$130 here!

Yes, that is how it is packaged. The only one I have seen at Home Depot is this combo. There is another combo with the griddle insert.

You can buy the gourmet grate by itself, but it is about the same price as this combo on sale.

The gourmet grate is really heavy duty too. Significantly heavier than the standard hinged grate.

Let me know if I can be of any assistance to you gents if you need help acquiring them. They will definitely add some weight to a shipment... :)

Did you find any?  I saw one way up on the shelf the other day but it didn't appear to be on sale and for that matter for sale.  There was no place on the shelf for it or anything....it was just up in the rafters.....

Yes, they may not be marked down on the box but it will ring up correct. One I saw had the markdown on the box, that is how I noticed. I checked at a couple different Home Depots with same price results.

Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

MartyG

Nice! I wish they made a full "normal" grate the way they make this one - it's a beast!
