We were too busy cooking!  And ogling Bman's famous mini smoker and witnessing his first use of the mid-70s red 18!  Photos to come.

Latest addition to my collection, courtesy of my BIL (who just got a sweet grass green C&B Performer).  Photo and custom bag of charcoal courtesy of my daughter.

Bman, Lord of the Grills, ready to kick some ass (with his good foot).

Yep, that's right, get your autographs here.  That's Bman's world-famous custom mini-smoker, alongside the 18 he found at the estate sale on his famous double-red Saturday.  This was the first time he's used his mid-70s 18.

Red:  peppers, napkins, kettles.

Under covers:  a fully loaded corn and tater ring on the left, and a simple roast chicken on the right.

Pineapple upside-down cake.

The civilians who arrived shortly before noon were at first incredulous about the number of grills, and then impressed with the food that kept coming off of them:  Bman's smoked wings and bacon-wrapped tater tots, plus bacon-wrapped scallops, smoked salmon, roasted red peppers, cauliflower and broccoli, and baked potatoes.

Good show! Nice way to end the Summer of WKC. If you count my lunch with Thin Blue Smoke yesterday, and the Aussie meetup in Oz, plus the Chicago mob gathering today - that's 4 WKC meetups in 24 hours. Unbelievable!

Photobucket has been giving me fits creating an album and getting these sorted.   ::)

First off --- big shout out to Mr. Stavlund for inviting me to the shin-dig.  Big fun was had by all.
Time for some pics but I gotta warn ya --- pbe gummi I am not.

Loaded up and ready to roll.  The red 18" is out of sight as he rides in the cab!  Other than the mini & the cooler, I came home empty.
The OTPlatinum w/ roti is one I picked up at a yard sale for Peaspurple.  He couldn't make it today, but Mike lives closer and that's where he'll pick it up from.  The OTS was also left for Mike as he wanted it for someone else.  There's 6 bags of Cowboy lump, 1 for use today and 5 I grabbed for Mike.
.

.
Mike already had a chimney fired up by the time I rolled in.
.

.
And one on the black SS
.

.
He started with dessert first.
.

.
Adding the batter for the upside down cake (more on this later)
.

.
This MT was next to the Black SS and the chimney full was destined to fill these baskets
.

.
Speaking of filling....
.

.
In reality, it was too full.  There's a reason they call it the corn AND tater ring.
.

.
At this point, I must have bumped a setting on the camera sliding in/out of my pocket.  Everything got washed out.
Remember --- gummi I am not.  lol
.
Couple dozen chicken wings on the mini
.

.
Work your magic, little buddy
.
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

Now that a bunch of chow is on it's way, we walked back to check out the charcoal hoarding supply Aaron has.  In my infinite wisdom, I didn't grab a pic of said supply.  It was something like 32 bags of Cowboy and a good number of Kingsford.  Atta boy!
Looking back at the overall set-up.  They let the gimpy one back up pretty close to the action.
.

.
10 kettles ---- 9 of which saw heat today.  Plus a WSM & gasser that didn't see the light of day.
.

.
We took each others virginity today.  First time I put heat to the "Estate Sale of Infamy" and my first time on an 18" AND 3 wheeler
.

.
I went easy with the ol' gal
.

.
Bacon wrapped tater-tots don't need much charcoal.  Helps with the flare ups.
.

.
No plated pic and tater-tots didn't last but a handful of minutes.  They are always the first to disappear.  Kids were chowing these puppies down hand over fist --- almost faster than the adults.  lol  With those out of the way, I went back to the wings.  Moved the grate to the bowl for some direct sear of the skin.  back to the mini to 'hold' until feeding time.
.

.
Speaking of feeding time...  It was more like an all-day-graze with a spike around 12:30
.

.

.
The salmon - superb!  Mike grills a filet really nice.
.

.
And for me --- the show stopper!  Man this stuff was good.
.
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

Space for "Marty Porn"

As a black OTG was getting put away, I was checking out the years of the 2 SS performers at the show.  Different than the 2 I have, which sparked an idea.  The representatives of the day.

Is this Marty with a stache or without? This should be interesting porn, lol.
Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

Bman

PS --- It wasn't just kettles-for-adults today either.
.

.
Complete with homemade charcoal!

Great photos, Bman!  Thanks for coming out and making this such a great get-together.  Your food was really stellar, and your grills are breathtaking.
