I'm not a big fan of the design of the newer style 8" wheels on the new Performer. Pure aesthetics. Anyone have the older style "whitewall" style I can buy or trade for mine?

I assume the new performer wheels are the same as the new 26er. Is that correct? If so, I might like a set too because I agree, the new ones are funky. They look like surplus Mars Rover parts. Can the old whitewalls be sourced directly from Weber or eReplacement?

G$

Me three. I do not care for 'em.  I think I am going to look for non weber metal replacements (wagon, lawnmower, etc) in the interim.

G

Are you talking about the plastic whitewall wheels with "weber" cut outs in the whitewall (the larger version of the current 6" wheel)?  If so, Ive got a set in OK shape from an older gasser.

MartyG

Yup - those should work. PM me and we'll work it out.

Stu is like the weber parts superstore.  I wish i would have known i needed those last week........

It occurred to me there are two styles of the large wheels that I do not care for and both are mars rover ish to me.  Let me find some pics of each.  I think tou guys are talking about the kind with the white spoke/mags and i was originally referring to the giant silver hub caps.

I kinda like the new style wheels with hubcaps too. Maybe it's because all my grills have the same whitewalls, except my easterner with metal wheels and white walls.

didn't someone here paint the little grill on the new style "rover" wheel?... that was kinda trick. I would do that to mine.

Jeff, Duke, and I have done these. Here's a set I did this summer.

But these are my favorite of the plastic 8's.... Not counting the old metal 8's which are my true favorite style.

If I ever get a new style 26", these are going on it with some wooden handles.
