Yes I have the sad thing is its a good community. Seems like harvest time these kind of things occur more. This year more than ever. I will be getting an alarm and video of some sort. I moved out hear to get away from things like that.

Bthorn, Its certainly not your fault, and I dont think you need to feel bad. I wouldn't say you acted irresponsibly, either. I'm sorry if my post led you to feeling that way. I'm a gun owner too, and I have had several petty thefts in recent years. Fortunately, none of them into the actual home. I hope the later half of my post addressed yoir original question about the kettles.

I'm really sorry to hear about the plasma TV being taken --- today is NFL Sunday week 1!  That has got to hurt a lot.  Right? 
Total bummer about the shotgun.  I agree with ya on the safe and it wasn't until fairly recently I got a decent, but small one.  Doesn't do dick for the long guns though.  Don't beat yourself up too bad over it.  Shit happens to good people.  I just hope it was random or a crime of opportunity and not targeted by someone you know.

Thanks Bman. Yeah losing the Plasma sucks, that TV had one of the best pictures I have had. I told
my friend I have brewed all this beer for football season and now my tv gets swiped. I will be getting security
in place, although it may not prevent this again I will have piece of mind that there is at least some form of deterrent.
