Hey look, the top is square.  :D
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

Is that yours, Hank? The orange color seemed to mellow out from when you first stained it.

That's the first cook on my new to me Sequoia. Difference in color is a result of lighting or color balance.

I had planned to pick up some salmon steaks since they were on sale, but then I saw baby back ribs for $2.99/lb. That's the first thing I cooked on my first Weber so it seemed right for this inaugural cook.

Here they are, rubbed and ready to go.

Fire in the hole!

Been going a while.

Did some veggies on the 18

One disappointment...  :( The ribs were not ready on time. And kettle temperature was dropping. (And I was getting hungry!) I pulled them and stuck one rack in the oven to finish. <sigh> The rack closest to the coals turned out to be done. It didn't get the prescribed rest time but was sliced and plated immediately.

When dinner was done I broke out the pie iron and made some peach pies with the last little bit that remained of the fading coals.

Looks great hank! Pie iron eh? Add that to the list of wanted items.

Yep. This is a thing I need that I did not know I needed.

Rib teasing is just as bad as dick teasing. Get to it.
The Weber is making it really hard to screw up dinner
