Picked this up Thursday. A little over 200 miles round trip. Paid $40.
There are a few little scars on the lid ... nothing major. Lid handle needs some TLC.

I did the ole oven-cleaner-in-a-garbage-bag trick for most of the pieces. Let them sit in the hot sun for awhile.
Gave them a scrape with a plastic scraper and some 0000 steal wool.

I never thought I would have a 3-wheeler. A little effort and a lot of driving ... to the armpit of Ontario ... now I have one.  :D

Now I need to learn how to cook with the daisy-wheel set-up. Any tips?

Thanks to the WKC and all its helpful members for encouraging the 3 R's when it comes to old / vintage kettles.  :D :)

The first 6 pics are the sellers pics. I had to take it apart to fit it in my Civic. No problem. The rest are my pics. She's a beauty!  :D 8) 8)

Great job - well worth the adventure. For a first restore you did fantastic. And thanks for flipping the triangle! Should be good for another 34 years!

Nicely done.

Those old ones just look so...   dignified... when they're all cleaned up.
I've got Webers. 10 - WSMs, 5 - 22.5" kettles, 2 - 18.5" kettle, 2 - SJS, 2 - SJP, 4 - WGA, 1 vintage Coolie Pan

Nicejob.  It is cool to have an A code, I think.

Great job on the clean up Mac! There isn't a ton of difference in cooking on a 3 wheeler. There is more air control, you can fine tune it for low and slow. You will notice a difference on high temp cooks, those vents really pull some air in and boost the temp up. The best thing to do is fire it up and open each vent one at a time to see how it effects the temp. I love my 3 kettles like that, just have fun with it!
