it was a wet cure and I was going for a cold smoke but the Masterbuilt is a little to warm for real cold smoke.

You can use an A-Maze-N smoker inside the Masterbuilt to cold smoke. That's what i do to smoke cheese.

Yeah those A-Maze-N smokers work great for cold smoking.
