1995 Blue SS Performer - New Home
« on: August 19, 2013, 09:54:46 PM »
My Blue SS Performer found a new home at my daughters place in The Springs  (aka Colorado Springs).

Here's a shot of her first cook on the Performer: Brats, pork chops and veggies.

I could not get a better shot since I don't have an Instagram Account.

I gave her a quick intro on how to use the Weber chimney for starting the charcoal before the Weber was loaded up in the moving truck.

She texts me and asks me if she needs lighter fluid.  :o  Luckily she did not buy any before I was able to reply.  ;D

Excellent. Good job spreading the love of cooking on real fire. Close call on the lighter fluid, and you sent her a beautiful grill, which always helps the ladies bond with it. Actually I would bond with that grill too.

Awesome first cook! Looks like she's gotten the hang of it quickly.

That's great you raised her well! I hope this isn't a dumb q but does she know how to use the lid bale? Since it's not in the pic I am inclined to think she is lifting it off.

I'm not sure I know how to use the damn thing.  It's mainly in the way more than anything and I find myself lifting it off more than using the bale.
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

Cool, While not perfect I really like having one.
