Cajun Bandit Kabob Ring/Skewer Set

Craig started a conversation with Cajun Bandit about making a kabob ring & skewer set.

http://Looks cool Chad, I have had a half dozen people contact me about these skewer rings and it looks like a good concept but I'm concerned about collectors wanting the original ones and not so much the copies, I could make them but it's easier said then done. Stainless being the way to go the ring alone would have to sell in the eighties to nineties, I have found the skewer kits and they range from 20 to 30 dollars, do you think this thing would sell for 129.00?

Me, I'd buy one.  Especially if they could add the rotisserie slot and make it a dual purpose ring.

I have the CB ring & spit & was just looking at it..... If they made the "tines"? that slide onto the rod & lock down with the thumb screw & poke into the meat longer (maybe 8" per side), it seems like that might work for ka-bob skewers? .... Just thinking.... Heck I think the ones I have might work for a small batch?..... Might have to try it out.

After the auction ended on the Weber 18" set, I received this from Cajun Bandit today.
Better than nuthin... 

I have been looking into it some and I think it's doable but this will take some time.

Hey Chad, sorry for the slow reply, that is crazy high, must have been a hell of a bidding war.
I cannibalized a rotisserie ring last week end, didn't go to well, when they spin the bead on there it forms sort of a band around it and when it is cut multiple times the ring starts to deform so to speak, I will have to look into this further.

Just in case no one else knows - they now have a roti for the 26er

18 gauge steel, high temperature powder coated gloss black, the 26.75” rotisserie ring is designed to fit the 26.75” Weber kettle. This new ring will accommodate two or three chickens, whole roast, and our favorite, the new expandable Rib-O-Lator and the EZ Que 21.5 x 8 rotisserie cradles. The ring is 7.25” tall. To purchase the ring only you will need a spit rod at least 32” long, we recommend the ½” hex spit like the one sold in the bundled kit. The motor mount is a standard slide on mount the same as the mount on the 22.5” series rotisserie we offer.

Thanks for the heads up - that must be new. I think with the 14 in WSM coming out later this year, the 26 roti will have to wait a bit.
