I have a question...
« on: August 16, 2013, 02:29:31 PM »
Can anyone answer this question: A 300 series grill is an 18.5? Correct?
This is the original Weber kettle. The most powerful bbq grill in the world and can blow your taste-buds clean off! So, you have to ask yourself one question: "Do you feel hungry? Well, do you punk?"

I'm pretty sure the 300 series grills are gas.  Speaking of which, I'm going to check on this one on Sunday:

Appears to be Q320.  No propane tank included, but if everything's in working order, that's a steal for $50.

Do you mean the Q series or the 30000 series kettles from the 80's?
If its the later then yes it's an 18
70000 = 22
80000= 26
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

Or even the numbers of the 60s and early 70s?  ;D
300= 18.5
700=22.5
or
800=26"
I wonder if Weber thought by changing them to "30000" etc made them sound more futuristic?

Sorry about the confusion guys. I guess I should have specified what I meant. I was referring to the numeric labeling of the old vintage grills of the 1960's and 70's. I couldn't remember, but I thought 3000 series grills were the 18.5 and the 7000 series were the 22.5 grills and 8000 series were 26.75? Just curious, but did the old vintage Ranch kettles have any number assigned to them? Maybe 9000 series or something like that?
