I have a 22" WSM, with a Cajun Bandit roti ring. Any real reason to get the rib-o-lator roti attachment? I have rib racks, and it seems like it may not be worth the extra investment. I have the 6469 rib rack. ( I am pretty sure, need to go look at it. )

I've done 5 racks (3 baby back, 2 STL) on the top rack of my 22" WSM at once.  To me, the ribolator, while a neat toy, is not a necessity.  That being said, if I had the expendable income, I'd pick one up.  :D

Just speculatin' , but if the cash is available, the Rib-O-Tater thing you get to lay them flat......

Minuses might be they're hard to clean?
Don't know....who has one here?
Fo Sizzle has one, I think.....and somebody else.....?

I've heard of people having some fit in problems, but I think it was a Weber ring that wasn't quite wide enough....the racks would hang up.....if you already have the Bandito one, I think that was ever so slightly wider & fixed it.....I think I'm remembering all this right.....if you get it new, ask them & double check what fits correctly.......

I've done a total of 18 slabs at once with my 22 and Cajun bandit stacker. I didn't use the bottom rack either.

Flip racks upside down on top of the first grate. Three racks of ribs per grate, three grates per level.

I have never used a rib rack or ribolator or rib hooks or a rib anything on my WSMs, and I have cooked hundreds upon hundreds of racks.  Some of them turn out pretty good!

Bman

Most ribs I've cooked at once on the WSM is only 3 racks.  lol
But I've done 64lbs of pork butt at once.  :D
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

Golly and I both have a Ribolator
Probably don't use it as often as I should but I enjoy using it
I've cooked wings , ribs, veggies , fish and they all turned out great
Could I of just cooked it all on the grate? Yeah, but it's an impressive bit of kit and does an awesome job, I love using the roti and this just enhances it
Some of the ribs I cooked were a little long for the baskets so I just trimmed them to fit
Cleaning is pretty easy as long as you give the the trays a quick spray with oil before the cook
I've seen a clip where Bob from Ribolator cooks nachos on them and they look really good
That's on my to do list
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

No rib-o-lator here.  But if someone has an extra I'll gladly test it out!!
