My New Jumbo Joe
« on: July 17, 2013, 11:41:08 AM »
New to me, anyway. It is an O code (1992) with a wood handle. I think it was used a few times and then set aside in the garage. At some point something got splashed on it that left it looking speckled.

That came off with a little scrubbing.

Now I need to get it dirty!  ;D

Yes. Glad I picked up for you. ;) I'm cooking on it as I type.

Are the grates NLA? I didn't check to see if it matched the grate on my '74 18" kettle. I did try the old lid and it fit.

Hank. You think this will replace your CGA? Too bad you cleaned it. The rare speckled are worth more

Looks great, Hank.  Some sweet kettle karma, too, since I know you thought you were picking it up for a Grillfella.  Glad you got to keep it after all.  Serves you right!  ;-)

No, I have a specific need for that one which I have not yet revealed. ;)

That cleaned up real well. When I first saw the splatters I reckoned the mess wasn't coming off.
I need to cook on one of mine one of these days.
I've got Webers. 10 - WSMs, 5 - 22.5" kettles, 2 - 18.5" kettle, 2 - SJS, 2 - SJP, 4 - WGA, 1 vintage Coolie Pan
