J Code Beach Grill
« on: August 04, 2018, 02:54:16 AM »
So I have been wanting a grill to take along when we go to the OBX next weekend. So I found this old J code cheap enough. When I got it, it had a bent leg and was missing the ash plate. I still need to get handles. But that won’t happen before we leave. Plus I’ve been building my BBQ shack/ Bar so I haven’t had time to make some. Did a few mods and now she’s ready to go!

Yes they are.  Another member here named addicted-to-smoke had given me the scoop on where to go. Home Depot shower curtain rod. It works perfect. I got new sweeps and new style ash pan from amazon.

ISO partsThese are a solid match, in both appearance and fit. Cut to any size you like: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Glacier-Bay-60-in-Aluminum-Builders-Shower-Rod-in-Chrome-HD14016/205699635

For the rear legs, hammer one end flat against the garage floor and drill your hole in it for the triangle/axle.http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/index.php?topic=38272.msg383166#msg383166

Sweet! Assuming you’re going to be pushing it out onto the beach with those wheels?
