Saw this on FB marketplace, city about an hour away.    Sent an inquiry message, lady said come and get it ASAP.  Went on Friday to take a look - she said it caught fire underneath some time ago and it's been sitting ever since.  She's moving and wants it gone.  After some conversation, she wanted to give it to me but I insisted a $50 bill since I saw the potential.  She saw it as a dangerous hazard; I saw a beautiful blue kettle I've always wanted.  I cleaned it up and upgraded with Spare parts I had in my bin.... SS sweep set and ash pan, Zavod handles I've had in a drawer for a year and my last SS dome handle strap from awesome kettle club members here.  I have a new ash catcher system on the way but had a spare pan from Jeff in my stash and thought it would look cool.  If you've read this far, thanks.  Here's Blue.

Thanks.... I've got an anniversary lower triangle that might look pretty snazzy on this one.

Thanks guys.... Agree, the new lid handle straps from Lilyankee make a huge difference.  This was the last one out of my stash - they have amazing build quality.

Thanks Robert.... finding this one distracted me from getting another anniversary model for $100 off lol....... more fun to clean up and rescue really.  New ash pan assembly came in yesterday and has been installed.

That's quite the looker you have there. Congrats on a great pick up and better restore.
