Anybody have any idea roughly what something like the Gen 2 performers may have cost when they were brand new?
BIG give or take.
I just get irritated every time I see someone selling something of that era (despite the condition) and try to justify their insane price by CLAIMING they themselves paid today's prices for something that is like 15 years old.
Like having some rough knowledge before I throw it in their con-man faces  ;D

In 1999, the first Generation SS Performer retail price was $429. Below is a link to the 1999 price list from Weber.

2nd Generation (2005) I would assume would be the same price if not more.

Don't forget to factor in inflation for prices from the good ole days until now.

Ha! Factor in inflation from the last 18 months! And those are not the good old days!

Don't forget, Prices started to rise when Tariffs were implemented. The cost of raw material went up drastically.  A Kettle Premium went from $150 to $165, now they are $219 and I think some of it is inflation but I wonder if it is the Large Corp, using inflation to try to pad it's pockets.  In recent news this would not appear to be working.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

If anyone is interested in looking back at prices of grills or even just webers offerings by year you can use this site https://web.archive.org/web/20220000000000*/Weber.com
