I just purchased a WGA for an upcoming trip. I was looking into them earlier and saw several videos where people make a complete tool kit with them.

Have any of you made a kit like this - if so share some info! Also this is my first grill this small - please share any tips/tricks if you have them!

Thanks,
Tom

I've done a couple of these and they work great!  I cut my grate to fit sideways for travel/packing - not exactly in half but just enough for the long side to fit sideways in the grill for packing.  Added a few more parts and I've done a couple of cooks that turned out great.  I recommend an external temp monitor to keep things in check.  Here's a couple of pics..

Love my little CGAs.

I opted for Craycort grates.  I flipped the internal cone of my small chimney to hold more fuel and I'll preload my chimney with broken up pieces of lump with my starter in the bottom.  (I use Stump Chunks).  I fold several pieces of aluminum foil on top to keep the lump from spilling out, the extra foil always comes in handy for various uses.  I use a drip pan from a Genesis which fits those disposable rectangular aluminum pans perfectly.  Extra latex gloves and TWO pairs of tongs to avoid cross contamination since running water isn't always available.

Great info - thanks! I'm gonna have to add those grates to the list.

These go anywhere's seem to be very popular in Australia & New Zealand - finding a bunch of parts and videos from there.

Has anyone made an offset plate like this? If time permits I'll make 1 before our trip - seems like it will help reduce the mess.

Kneab

I am not sure, but if I was to guess I would think it is around 20 gauge.

I received my go anywhere today - blown away by how nice this thing is.

FYI I bought mine new on offer up and saved some money over retail price.
