I'm planing on buying my first SS performer this weekend. It's an N code so that's 1991 right?

It looks great, there is only 1 strange thing about it. The black panel under the table with the Weber emblem is not on the tank side, it's on the opposite side. This panel seems to be on the tank side in all the pictures I've seen. Should it have this panel on both sides?

Kneab

It is common for people to assemble things incorrectly.
I have seen performers assembled with the casters under the kettle and the big wheels under the handles.
As long as all the parts are there, you can disassemble and put it back together right.

Good luck on your first SSP.  If you're into mods, the "missing" panel is the perfect place to install a 36" speedrail.

Cool idea. Do you have any photos of an SSP with this installed?

1 more question is the ssp about the same dimensions as the gen 2 performer? I was able to fit my gen 2 in the back of my Jeep Wrangler unlimited trying to decide if the ssp will fit too!

It will fit, actually slightly smaller
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Just barely missed out on it. Anyone know of an SSP for sale in Indiana?

Nothing is Indiana but some nearby.   Springtime grill road trips are my ideas of fun!

This one looks like it needs a little TLC, but it's not horrible.
