Royal Oak Lump & Wagyu Sirloin

Bought 32 pounds of Royal Oak lump. First time for me.
The results are in…I like it! Lights super fast, burns real hot. Perfect for grilling steaks.
Wagyu Sirloin Strips were thrown on the kettle. The temp was 650, so it only took a few minutes to get a nice medium rare cook.
The steaks were awesome, tender, with great flavor. I give some credit to Royal Oak!

I can’t believe all of the negative comments here on RO. The chunks are fairly uniform. It lights fast and easy. Burned clean and hot, 700 degrees.
I like it, and will get two more bags.
32 lbs for $21.

I like RO lump.  It performs fine.  Sometimes there are small pieces but I equate that to shipping and store handling.   There’s the occasional rock.   I’ve seen the same with B&B and higher priced brands.   I refuse to pay more than a $1 a pound for any charcoal.  Walmart sells RO lump at good prices.

Yes, we got this at Walmart. Great price!
15.5 lbs for $10.49.
That is about 67 cents / pound. Think I'll stock up!
