I've been holding out on revealing this beauty until the restoration was totally completed.
The Custom was found on the roadside by a a friend about an hour  away from where I live.
It was in very nice shape, albeit the ash pan was severely rusted and the bowl vent looked to have home made  tabs riveted onto the existing vent.  I asked for some help from Lilyankee to see if he could replicate the bowl vents and he did a wonderful job.  An added bonus is Eric has the capability to rivet the vents on a grill, so there is no need for bolts and nuts.  Thanks again Eric. It's great having a talented, willing friend nearby.
The area from the legs down, except for the wheels, thankfully, was all spray painted gray long ago.  It preserved the legs and the triangle as those areas needed very little work, just a light scraping and polishing.  The ash pan was the part that needed the most work.  Layers of white porcelain, gray spray paint and deeply pitted rust.  There are a few pin holes in it, but the leg hooks remained intact throughout the restore.
Here are some before pics. I'll add some after pics soon.  I'm only allowed 10 pics max on a post

Wow!   Beautiful piece of history!  Grate job.  I've never seen a chromoveil with an ash pan instead of an ash tray at the bottom.

You did a great job cleaning this guy up! It was nerve racking knowing that this is the oldest kettle I've seen to date and you wanted to put dampers on it again . Again, excellent job Dennis!
