As soon as you go through all the trouble of finding a retail store or a WKC member in Europe that can agent and ship the 22.5" Glen Blue Master Touch to the U.S. for you, not to mention after you've spent close to $500+ USD

on the total +shipping. ...Once you get that tracking number... Weber releases the GB Master Touch in the U.S. the following day! That's the way it always goes. I guess Weber has a policy, "If it's made in the U.S.A. for export, You can't purchase it in the

U.S.A.!"

Lol.  They're trying grab a new demographic and new buyers to the brand, I am sure.

An Weber "regular " customer already knows about a "low tech" Smokey joe or go anywhere

I like the look of the traveller, a bit more sleek than the Coleman Road Trip grill, which I've used camping with a friend of mine who has one...however, it is $80 more expensive than the Coleman.  I could care less about the smart gas grill.  I get the idea with both products, but as I've said before, I'm afraid Weber will become the jack of all trades, master of none.

I was hoping I was wrong about the announcement being the Gas Traveler.  They have recently updated some things though.  Looks like Smokefire Gen 2, Pulse electric grill, Smart gas grills, and the Traveler are the newest editions.  So far nothing in terms of charcoal grills.  Might check back later today, but not getting my hopes up.

I think the "big reveal" was the smart grills in general. I am surprised the traveler isn't even on their main page you have to look for it plus it's not available. I am not seeing what is smart about painting more of it black and including a thermometer that is mounted.

I dont mind the changes as I am not their target market for this stuff anyway just let down by the fake suspense.

Knock a 100 off the traveler and I would think about it tho...

Edit: the suspense was real it was my expectations that failed. Interested to see how the thermo units hold up.

Tough Crowd; As a long-time Weber Charcoal Kettle user I am now interested in purchasing my first "gasser" and hope the "Traveler" arrives here in Costa Rica in the very near future.

Don't get me wrong the design on the Traveler is kinda cool and I would buy one over the Q Series if I had to get a portable gas grill, but I don't see much of a point in it.

I mean the CGA easily covers any needs I would have with traditional burgers, brats, and so on that I would normally cook on the road.  And the Blackstone Griddle (I have a 22 inch) is far more functional for smash burgers, veggies, toppings, and especially breakfast as far as a portable gas grill goes.  A griddle will probably be the only gas grill I ever own if I am honest.
