Second one is a Wood Dale Ambassador.  I picked it up just north of San Diego about 4 years ago.  Traded it to Zavod shortly
thereafter.  Also, there is a NOS (supposedly) Ambassador  in the far West as well.

Congratulations Alex. The Ambassador owners club is a very small group. By my count that is the 7th Ambassador to surface in California since I have been a WKC member.  Wonder why so many found in California?  Was it the color that was attractive to Californians or was it that a Weber sales rep concentrated on selling the Ambassadors here in California?  Guess we'll never know.

Mine (62) found in Saratoga, California
@Harris (63 found by @fedex in Southern California ) *I believe you have two, the second one I'm not sure of it's origin
@1spacemanspiff (63)  found in Northern California
@crowderjd (64 found in Cathedral City, California - near Palm Springs)
@solidgoldstein (64)    (found in Northern California)

*The other two Ambassadors are still "in the wild" (both are 1964s).  I have seen photos of them posted on a Facebook Weber group site. Both are in Northern California, one is in a city close to Saratoga where I found my 62.

Not only is it caddywhompus, seems it has a very early "racing" triangle. (lol)

@solidgoldstein CONGRATS!  Welcome to the Ambassador club.  That should clean up nicely.  I agree with @Cellar2ful that the Cali connection with all of these is interesting.  As to the triangle, I'm pretty certain the outside one fell off.  My first avocado had a triangle where the weld on the largest triangle came loose, and once it popped off you couldn't even notice where the weld was.  I cant wait to see the cleanup, you'll really enjoy it.  The Ochre pops much more in person than it does in online pictures.
Chasing the impossibles: Westerner, Custom, Meat Cut!

Very cool, looking forward to seeing the first cook on that beauty!

Throwing it out there in the world, as I am slowly beginning the restore on this beaut, I am in the need of two small tab bowl vents. If anybody had a couple in their boneyard or lying around their workshop, I would be interested. Happy to pay for them!

Congrats on the find. That crazing will look much better once the rust stains are removed.
