Brats and dogs on the 26

I started the peppers and onions on the hot side and the brats and partially frozen all beef dogs on the cold side in a pan with beer. Peppers and onions got olive oil, butter and Tony's.

Then swapped them and continued cooking until the brats were firm.

I took the peppers and onions inside and moved the brats and dogs to the cool side and started cooking them direct until nice color and back to the beer bath then took them inside.

Nice soft bite through casings and full of juice.  A fun cook all around.

I love the way you pulled that off.

I need a 26. Period.

Nice cook!
Yea tons of room on a 26er, I really like my recently purchased 26" grill.

Cheers

You would love a 26. I find myself cracking the lid more on it than a 22 when I need to boost heat but it's the perfect size imo. I'm usually only cooking for two now a days but it's still what I use 90% of the time.   I don't find it to use much more coal either.

When it gets really cold, I'll start using a 22 a little more often for quick cooks because it heats up a little faster.

I love that cook, I am about the same style when I do those on my 26
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

I used to combine everything in one pan at the end but the peppers and onions would take on a dark color from the brats and get too soft in the beer.  It's always fun tweaking your routine and experimenting.

Very nice! Thank you for sharing.
One question I have, what are the times you use for the brats in the beer?
