Cheers WKC friends,

as some of you know i've delivered a rare 18 inch 1956 kettle. I planed to write a story how i came to this. Thanks @bobbq and @Lowbrass for giving me an asskick to this.
I won some international friends over WKC and other pages but i am more to WKC back than last year after many dissapointing people who screws others. This is not what we collectors stand for!

Thank you @RottiGuy a long time chat friend of mine to give me a tip that a friend of him is selling this old grill. After that, i checked base with Todd J.
THANK you TODD, very much appreceated!
Todd didn't want money for this grill, he knew i coul't get him some special Euro kettles he wanted to trade for this gem.
It took me about 2 month to find him his kettles in perfect condition or NIB.
After it was time to pack 3 kettles. The most of you know what that mean, pack and ship a kettle is alot of work.

As everything had been ready to be finalise  our gouvernement here in Austria shut down for a while. There was absolutely no chance to ship anything.
After everything came slowly back to life i checked the quote for shipping them. It costs tripple than normal. So we had to be patient and wait.
As the shippingquote overseas dropped down to be affortable we sent them on a long way over the big pond.
At the end it took about a year to make this deal happen.

The Chicago came in an excellent condition to my house and i was so extremely excited i can't tell in words.
I began at the same day to restore. A couple days later it was finished and i think it turned out nice. It was a real fun restore and it cleaned up easy because it had a restore some day from the pre owner Todd.

Here it is and i hope i am an official Chicago outfitery member....lol

Thank's for read, Norbert

Great story and an awesome looking kettle!!

I've had a few deals with a few wkc members in my short tenure here. Nothing but positive interactions to date. This a grate community of grill fellows.

Cheers

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn't?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I've amassed a nice collection, but I'm missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞
