I'm interested in knowing what the red Original KettleĀ® Premium "Limited Edition" kettles sold for a couple years back, as they are no longer available in stores.

There is a local guy selling them for $599 which looks beyond exorbitant in my opinion. Knowledge is power, and I'd like to know what they were selling for, originally. Anybody know?

Over the last holiday season there was a hardware store in Missouri selling them on eBay for $125.  I believe they sold hundreds of them from when I was watching.  I got two and was refunded 1/2 price for one that was less than perfect.  $599 is not worth it IMO.

They were $249.00 brand new here in Canada when I got mine. Not on sale, I believe $289;00 was the normal price.

Welcome to the WKC.

$599 is about 7 to 9 times what you should pay. I'm frugal, so your mileage may vary.

You can buy a new Crimson for $165
Not exactly red.

Maybe a wkc member will have a 22" for sale.

If it was in good shape I think under $100 might be reasonable as a buy.  Maybe a little more if brand new. The parts are a nice pick up, but the color and finish can be a little disappointing because it was done in China.  Unfortunately there are just a few sellers who post stupid prices like that hoping they will find a sucker that doesn't know any better.

If you are going to drop some cash in that $150+ range I would recommend just buying one of the exclusive colors on Weber.com.  For a little more money you will get a much nicer kettle with a full 10 year warranty.  I personally have the Spring green and it looks spectacular.  Looking on facebook marketplace might get you a color performer in that price range as well.

Vintage mbh reds are still quite plentiful at reasonable prices.   I'd rather have that than the LE.

They were clearancing them out at my Home Depot for $99. I grabbed two but ended up returning as we were in the middle of a move and had no where to keep them. In hindsight I should've kept one.

They pop up around me used usually about $80-120.  $599 is crazy.

$199 at my local Home Depot when they came out, then marked down to $149 and finally $99.

They were for sale on Amazon for $199 as recently as July 17th this year. They pop-up every now and then, just have to keep your eye out. Don't pay $599, that's insane.
