Hi,

I'm in the market for some accessories and want to find out what you're using and what you'd recommend.  There are so many choices it can be overwhelming.  One can only read so many good and bad reviews.  Feel free to elaborate on any or all.

Digital Instant Read Thermometer
     - Prices are all over the place, from a few dollars to hundreds of dollars
     - I just want one that reads accurately within two or three seconds and will last

Thermometer with four probes for monitoring meat and pit temperatures
     - Stand alone, bluetooth to phone or separate receiver?

Boning Knife
     - Wanted to trim up meat in preparation for a cook

Slicing Knife
     - Wanted to slice up meat after a cook

Spritzer Bottle
     - Dang Walmart quality doesn't last too long

Thank you.

Classic Thermapen works great, I've had mine for over five years with no issues.

Thermometer with four probes for monitoring meat and pit temperatures

I like a stand alone Chef Alarm from ThermoWorks. Very reliable I own three of them.

ThermoWorks makes a four unit called Signal. Which I don't own, it's kind of pricey and I don't need Bluetooth or a fancy app to cook good BBQ.

I own a Mercer Culinary Millennia Granton brisket knife

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005P0OIBM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also own a Victorinox curved boning knife

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001XCWGPQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Both knives work well at the lower end price point.

Hello and welcome from the western part of the state!
All the items you suggested would be great
Thermoworks is top of the line products. I’ve got the “pop” instant read thermometer from them and it works great. It reads just a second or two longer that the thermapen but only comes in at around 20-30$.
Good luck and post some pics of cooks and grills!

For small spray bottles I pick them up at the Dollar General or Family Dollar in the hair care section. Most spray bottles are 8 to 12 ounces in size and work well for a $1

I also have a Thermoworks thermometer that works great and is a little more wallet friendly.  Wife also uses it in the kitchen all the time.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R18W3W1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have two thermometers with probes.  Both work well - Maverick XR-50 has 4 probes and has transmitter and receiver, both show all 4 temps when on and alarm capabilities for low/high temps.  They also just added a nice carry case which I don't have.  I bought a nice cam case that works great.

My spritzer works very well.  I tried the spray bottles at first and saw that Harry Soo had this one.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003IL6CSM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I don't have any details on my knives....my wife bought me a nice boning/trimming knife that I use a lot and kitchen shears for spatchcocking.  Don't know the brands.  The only other thing I would recommend is nitrile gloves which I use for all kinds of things.  Even used these when I did a brake job and strut replacement on my Yukon.

Best of luck!  I've done lots of mods on my WSM and like the way it's turned out.  Let me know if you're interested in those.  Cheers!

Oops left off the second thermometer I have.  It's the Inkbird IBT-6XS.  I got this on a black Friday (I think I can still say that) special for $40.  It works well and only transmits to my iPhone via the Inkbird app.  It has alarms for low and high and has 6 probes.  Not sure why anyone would need 6 probes, but it was a deal so I got it.  It is rechargeable and the battery charge lasts longer than I would ever use on one cook.
