My Weber Performer Deluxe is equipped with the excellent SlowNSear Plus and DripNGriddle Pan which I use in grilling 95% of the time. However, my SS SlowNSear Elevated Grate gets very little use, so, how are you using this Elevated Grate in your grilling advertures?

I don't have it as I haven't worked out a good use case yet. My assumption would be it's probably most useful when smoking

I don't have one, but if I were to use one it would likely be used for chicken or a kind of warming rack for things that are more or less done.  Elevated grates are very nice for those things that like direct heat, but you want to avoid burning the heck out of it.  The partial elevated racks just haven't been useful for me.  I would rather use my CB stacker or do a bolt/wingnut mod to raise up a full size grate.

I have had a Weber elevated half grate hanging out in a box for awhile, I have used it lately for a few different ways I kinda like it

Mostly for some extra space, put one or two more ribs there when there's more than me and the wife. Do rotate the ribs if you do this, it's slightly warmer upstairs 😎
Last time I put some ribs on it while the  pulled pork finished, hot and fast above the charcoal,  be sure to flip often. Memphis dust ribs are an ok entree for some texas bbq pulled pork. Imho of course.

Its a good tool to have

I have the "Upper Deck" version. Roughly the same size, about ten bucks cheaper, and easier to slide across the main grate if needed.

Interesting. I use my elevated grate every time I cook. It's my raised direct grate. I cook the food indirect most of the way then finish on the elevated over the coals. It's the perfect setup.

Here's another pic. I bought it for my Performer but it lives on my 26er as that's my most used grill.

It's a good thing to have, and is useful.
