My vintage take on the new Glen blue

Original Weber wood handles
Off White wheels
Off White ashbucket

Might look st making some wood rollers or might just grab some gray/white ones off an older kettle.

Finally got mine! A few small imperfections upon first glance; not sure it's worth the warranty claim.

All of the leg sockets and ash holder tabs have chips in the porcelain on the ends. And there is a small dent/missing porcelain chunk on the underside of the bowl rim. Not visible from the top.

So: get some high temp paint and dab those small problem areas to seal them? Or request a new bowl?

Scogin

I went ahead and got paint, 1/2 pint of high heat and some fine brushes.

If it is minimal on the tabs/leg sockets I would just get some high heat paint and dab some paint on two or three times.  No one will probably ever see it and it seems fairly common.  As for the underside of the bowl it is kinda up to you and hard to say without seeing it personally.  The underside of the bowl rim on mine had a few spots were the blue didn't cover completely, but it wasn't bare metal so I wasn't concerned.

@AZ2FL , what are you using for the ash bucket on 18?

I like my Kettles like my coffee....strong and black.

2019 Black 26" OKP; 2015 Black 22" OKP; 2004 Black SJP; mid 70's Statesman; mid 70's Gourmet, 2017 Black CGA; 2000 Black GGA;

Got to say, I'm on the fence. I have two 26'ers that are near and dear to my heart (In fact the are my everyday machines).  While I love the color, I'm may just sit back and hope for a rebound. Who knows, if the GB is successful, the may offer up a yellow or true lime 26er in the near future.

I would jump at either!!!!

I use stainless steel mixing bowls for ash pans, I've been using them for over 11 years now, they work grate.
18" = four quart,  diameter at top lip is 10-5/8"
22" = eight quart,  diameter at top lip is 13-3/8"

Pulled everything out to assemble, and find that it's missing the front leg entirely. So that kind of puts a damper on things. Also the lid vent won't close at all because the holes have really rough and sharp ridges where they were stamped/cut/whatever and the damper hangs up on them.

Warranty form, here I come...

The off white and wood definitely give it that vintage vibe

Congrats to all the lucky new owners - such a sweet rig!

@Darko

Sadly no love for us here up north - rep attempted to order for me but the system wouldn't allow it.
Call the 1-800 number. That's how I was told to order it ....twice.

Just have to say that Weber is awesome. I've never needed to deal with Customer Service before now, but they make the experience pretty painless and they just make things right.

Glen Blues no longer on weber.com.  Anyone know if they are bringing them back?
