Picked up an old FBK-530 (1964(?) Fireplace Bar B Q). Where to start?

That's awesome!
It's interesting that they offered the lid in different colors like that

BEEP BEEP BEEP  ....... the sound of the Brinks truck backing up to your door.
Great find.
I've decided to post it on eBay soon, so wish me luck :)

Thanks haha. It was made when we were doing lots of reselling of IT equipment and electronics. Grills are a new area.

Thanks for the plug though!

I wish I had Ebay money! But really the thing that lured me into collecting webers was being able to find cool ones for 10-50 bucks

I've been buying used Webers since I found a SJ at a garage sale for under $5, shortly before heading off to an apartment at college my sophomore year (back when apartments didn't have rules about charcoal grills).  I've paid as little as $1 for a SJ, as little as $3 for a 22".
regards,
Hal

What's an SJ? Sorry, newbie who would rather have discussion than Google

A Weber Smokey Joe. A little 14" kettle that people often place on a table to raise off the ground because it is short.
