I just rescued a Smokey Joe. Do they have serial numbers? If so where?

It has "DO" on the damper and "Made in U.S.A."

It needs a charcoal grate, is the one listed for 14 inch grills on the Weber site correct?

Thanks.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Is there a numerical serial number, I can't find one?

Ashley Coalburn

I think they're only on the box, and really just used for registering the warranty.

Yes.

"DO" is the serial number that you would register your grill with. It was not until more recently that the vent on charcoal grills were given individual serial numbers.

Any suggestions for replacing the wing nuts, bolt and washers holding the legs on the base and supporting the charcoal grate? I would like to use stainless.

HoosierKettle

Go to hardware store and buy stainless.

I figured that part out! Hoping someone did this already and knew the size, etc.

1/4-20 x 3/4 I believe is correct

Bob BQ, thanks that's what I needed. I will give it a try.

TurtleFL

JEBIV, thanks as well. Will get both and try for best to hold the grate
