'84 Euro One Touch
« on: June 15, 2020, 09:03:29 AM »
Just showing off my new kettle, there was some chat about it on another thread, but here she is.

1984 One Touch with Euro legs.

Cleaned up as best I can, polished the legs, vent etc, stripped the One Touch system and soaked it in vinegar then hit it with a Dremel, 36 years of crud didn't shift easily and I didn't want to push my luck and blow through the aluminium lol

(Ash catcher is inside)

Grate looking kettle!!!   Love the “stability control” legs on the Euro models

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn’t?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I’ve amassed a nice collection, but I’m missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

I'm surprised the ash sweeps in an 84 Weber in the UK hasn't totally rusted away. Most I have seen from the early 90s have.

A rare find indeed in the UK, lovely condition, and a bargain too. Did you have to travel far?

I do wonder about the "stability control" on the front leg. On my patio it would probably make it more wobbly.

I had my doubts if I could rescue them! Lol

Nah not too far, maybe 40 mins South of me :)

Was that the one just outside of Leeds?  I was sorely tempted but I have so many.

Good to see a WKC member bag it.

Did the table not tempt you?

It was. I made an offer about 2 hours after it was listed, but was 90 mins too late.

I started a thread in the Online Finds section, unaware that it was already sold.

The trolley is still available.
