How well will a Cajun Bandit Rotisserie function on a 18" WSM or should I buy one for a 22" Weber Kettle?

swamprb

The Cajun Bandit rotisserie rings are reversible so they will fit both the Kettle and WSM

Swamprb: Thanx for your reply but my WSM "Classic" is only 18 1/2" wide and my Weber Peformer Deluxe is 22" wide. I guess I should of asked how well does the Cajun Bandit Rotisserie function on a WSM 18 1/2"?

Stoneage

You flip it over.
One end fits a 22" the other a WSM there are two sets of mounting holes. Use the opposite of mine.
Incidentally there are two versions. One battery powered the other a/c powered.

Stoneage: Regarding your reply; so the Cajun Bandit Rotisserie will fit my 22"Weber Performer Deluxe and then I can flip-it to fit my WSM 18" Classic???

tibas92017 - Simple answer is "no", because the diameters are different.  Flip the 22.5 rotisserie to alternate between the 22.5 inch kettle and 22.5 inch WSM.  Same rule for the 18.5 CB rotisserie (see links below for differences).

This week I decided and ordered the Battery Operated with AC Adapter Cajun Bandit 22" Rotisserie Kit for my Weber Performer Deluxe(WPD). Also, added two(2) more Spit Forks to this order. The reason I decided on not purchasing it for my WSM 18" Classic is that I can use it with my SlowNSear Plus and DripNGriddle Pan on the 22" WPD.

I think you made the right choice.  More versatile... and maybe next you upgrade the WSM18 to a 22 lol

My Cajun Bandit Rotisserie(CBR) for my 22" Weber Performer Deluxe(WPD)  arrived today in Costa Rica which is a reversible unit that can be flipped and used on a WSM 22". However, my WSM 18" "Classic" can't take advantage of this unit.

Question, when I placed it on my WPD there is a small hole near the base of the unit which fits the spit rod when flipped-over to use it on a WSM 22".  I have a concern that this may affect controlling the temperature and may have to seal it with some High-flame tape??  I will know more after doing trial run.

Also, do I need to give my new CBR a BURN-IN before cooking some chicken?

This is my solution to the extra spit holes. I do use it on kettle and wsm. It's handy being able to move the blanking plates from one set of holes to the other when reversing the ring.
