Things have been a bit quiet for this agent.. especially with the world pandemic going on, until last week. The phone buzzed, a few texts went back and forth and I hit the road. Normally it's just me.. or I take one of my daughters along. This time, it was seen by the whole family as a chance to get the heck out of the house and go on a very welcome road trip.
The mission? Get a sweet little "Poland Sping" green 18" grill for someone.
After work we piled in the car and made the trip.. it was about an hour each way.. but we weren't in a rush. We took mostly back roads to go to enjoy the scenery. The whole transaction went smoothly. The seller took very good care of the grill. We talked for a few minutes and the grill was in the van. We stopped for Wendy's on the way home for dinner and a nice afternoon was had by all!
A funny side story.. the next day I'm talking to one of my co-workers and he starts asking me questions. Were you in such and such area yesterday? Yes.. yes I was. I thought I saw your van! (mind you, my van has a rare dealer gold trim package.. I've never seen it on another van before.. because.. well.. who spends money on a minivan at a dealer to put gold trim on it? It's... a minivan. Another topic for another thread). He said he had his finger on the dial button but he was like no.. no way. Couldn't be. Why would he be out here in the middle of nowhere? I knew my co-worker lived out in that part of the state but I had no idea where. Apparently I picked the grill up maybe 2 mins from where he lives! Small world. He asked what in the world were you doing way out here on a Thursday afternoon? "Picking up a grill" .... "yeah I could see that!"
Being an agent is a lot of fun, I'm always up for a mission!
Anyways.. without further due.. here are a few pics of this nice little 18 green poland spring!
