Looks like a neat product...I'm curious if Weber will be upset.

I wouldnt think Weber would mind much. It looks just like the Sam's club knockoff.
Only thing that looks like an exact rip off is the lid bale.

If you were coming from microwave to master griller this would be awesome. I would imagine most people start slow and ramp up. If if they have more money then sense I would think they would start with a pellet or performer.

Best of luck to any business make a good go at it right now. Doesn't look too cheap or junky just isnt enough for me to want to try.

Looks pretty awesome, it's basically a Weber clone with 4 legs. The cooking grate is only hinged on one side, but it's larger section that's hinged, so that could work better for easier access to the coals. Price seems good to for all you get. Not sure I'd stray from my Weber's though. Maybe if I was in the market for something new.

I'm pretty sure it IS the sams club knock off lol. They probably cut a deal with the sams/Walmart house brand grills and kamado to skip the r&d part and just pump out a "you pay for the name" money grab

I posted on this when he showed everyone a preview on facebook.  I thought this would have included the SnS insert looks like it does not, it does have a lot of nice features bit to me not enough to justify the cost.  If I am looking at a new blue master touch @ $220 or this @ $279, I am going with tried and try.

I wish David the best but I am not seeing this as a big item for SnS Grills.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

I wonder if one will look like this in 50 years....

Wait...It has an easy spin grate, but no charcoal basket or SNS? That's like Michelin or Goodyear opting to produce and sell cars...then not including tires as a standard feature.

Yeah, it's $60 more than a Master Touch ($219), but still doesn't include the Slow N' Sear basket...

Haha yeah exactly. Makes no sense to me
ISO: Dark red/crimson mist kettle (cooker condition). 18" preferred, but a 22" would be awesome too.

Oh I remember that topic... (insert sitcom wavy lines letting you know you're going back to a previous episode)

Saw the price point - as I mentioned in the previous post, it's gonna be a hard no from me without including the slow-n-sear. $279 is a premium price for an unproven base model kettle grill with a few built-in mods. I will happily admit that the built-in probe hole is a good idea and a differentiator from the Weber kettle, but it's not worth $279. I do wish them good luck and success as they have been a reliable after-market supplier to Weber kettle owners for many years.

Seems like it is more of a Napoleon NK22K-LEG22 than a mere Sam's club model.  There are some good features on it and a good warranty.  Will be interesting to see if it is successful.  My guess is that with availability as on-line only and without big name recognition, it will be slow going at first.
