I know this topic's title paints a gloomy picture, but it's in no way as bad as it sounds.  It actually refers to some pretty sweet vintage non-Webers I've restored so far this spring.  This was the second one finished:

PK Grill

Have to say thanks to @GrillGiant for pretty much forcing me to take this one.  For months & months he was very insistent that this one needed to be in my collection.  He like most, has figured out I'm not ashamed to love other kettles.  I knew this one had potential, but it was weathered & incomplete (shelf & table missing / rusty grates turning to dust).  Stripped it down completely.  Got new grates & original matching hardware.  I thought the wheels were white, but realized they were originally red based on the axle hole, so I painted them.

Polished the frame pieces, dampers, and axle.

Sprayed the interior/exterior of the bowl & lid with aluminum brightener, and steam cleaned them.  Taped off the lid and polished the raised lettering so it popped against the brightened aluminum.

Made the table & shelf out of burnt cedar, and sealed them with spar varnish.  I will be using an aluminum cookie sheet on the shelf during cooks, cuz it'll get ruined quick otherwise.  Broke 'er in with some ribeye for Easter dinner:

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn't?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I've amassed a nice collection, but I'm missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

Thanks.  People from the PK Fanatics FB keep referring to it as a "Classic" or "Original".   I believe a junior has a single damper on the bowl & lid.  I don't know enough about 'em(...yet) to answer that too confidently.

Grate job on the restore!  if I wasn't a Weber guy, I'd own a PK.  You've got a beautiful piece of backyard Americana there.

Wow, all of a sudden you've made me lust for a PK, amazing restoration job!

Looks amazing! How did you attach the wood side table and under shelf?  After seeing your pictures I'm thinking about adding them to mine vintage PK.

Another masterful restore, I wouldn't expect anything less
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Thanks.  I actually made them to just rest on the frame bars.  I figured if I wanted to make them permanent, I could use conduit hangers attached underneath.
