I always wanted to try a PK.  But can't justify the purchase.

I picked mine up from a member on WKC at a very good price and with a network of grate guys it made it from Florida to Ohio.

Still chugging along, started snowing about a hour ago. I had to move some stuff around on the patio to provide some shelter.

Love smoking me some pork shoulder. Never used a PK before how'd you like doing the pork shoulder on it?
Wife said "No more GRILLS in this house!" So I bought a 2nd house!

I liked using the PK, I wasn't happy with the lump. I knew using lump would be a challenge and it was, I'll do it again but be using kbb charcoal.

What issues did you have using lump?  I'm almost finished cleaning up my vintage pk and I was planning on doing a chuckie with some B&B lump.

Temperature control due to its irregular sizing. I wanted to try it though because there is less ash with lump and ash is the only down side of the PK.

I have the baskets for my classic. Really handy with lump. https://www.pkgrills.com/the-heavy-duty-charcoal-basket/
