Helped Malcom Reed out today for a cooking demo at The Butcher Shoppe in Pensacola Fl. Our plan was to use their Ole Hickory to smoke to 115 and sear off on multiple kettles. Only problem was they had one economy kettle there. Luckily my buddy @firedude5015 bailed us out with a brand new copper. It's first cook was searing 30 plus tri tips and grilling 8 ribeyes. I can't think of a better way to break a grill in like we did. Always a great time cooking with friends and serving bbq to strangers

he said he had it 2 years and was waiting for the right moment to cook in it. I was honored to break it in and it definitely has its own story now.

Looks like a great time!  I'll bet the strangers were happy with that food.

they definitely were and it was a great feeling to see their faces light up with excitement after tasting it.

That kettle definitely has a cool story behind it now . I was worried I was going to damage it or mess up the Zavod handles. Cooking that much food for a big crowd is messy and  equipment gets knocked around. Thankfully no porcelain pops lol

That's certainly a heckuva way to season a kettle.
