Tried this over the weekend.  The casters are top of the line and up for the job, but the angle strapping I used is way under par.  Plan is to replace with stronger angle iron.  Going this route because I don't want to modify the WSM legs and want to be able to take it off the wheels for cooking due to weight of sand, food, etc.

COOL, R2D2 like

That's what I'm getting from the fam too.  My wife, son and daughter in law suggested remote controlled motors for the wheels so it can move about the deck with a radio remote control.  I think I'd be getting away from the entire purpose going down that path........  ; )

V1.2 much better!  Used angle iron, primed and painted with red engine paint I had.  This it sturdy!

1 1/4" x 1/8 thick.  Needing 3 pieces 25" long I bought three 36" pieces and cut them to size with a grinder/cut off disk.  For the 22.5 WSM the wheel holes are 24" on center.  Casters are really nice with locking mechanism that locks wheel roll and caster swivel.  Very happy with the end result.

Here's a close up shot or two .... I also put in clear rubber stick ons on the bottom and felt on the sides so the WSM legs don't scrape paint off when placing and removing to and from the triangle.  It's a tight fit for the legs which is a good thing - keeps the WSM attached to the triangle.

And, THANK GOODNESS for step bits when drilling angle iron!  Also probably goes without saying, but I deburred the angle iron with a bench grinder after cutting and had to round 3 corners off in order to get the triangle to assemble properly.  Trial and error fitting before priming and painting turned out to be a good idea.
