I'm on lunch taking a cruise of my local Letgo offerings and I spot this:

Curious, I reach out to the seller and get a near instant response!  It's available.  It's a garage sale from the previous weekend and he's trying to unload stuff.  I leave work a little early and it's only 20 minutes away, too.  This is too good to be true.  I did have to get cash because I didn't have any.....lol.

Anyway, it turns out it a patent pending Easterner!   It's in good shape and needs some tlc.  It has some interesting wheels, or it least it doesn't correspond to age guide.  I figured it would have rubber tread but it has 73-76 wheels.  They are definitely Weber wheels.

Awesome pickup!  Maybe @Craig can help shed some light on the wheel situation.

Wife: Let me guess... you want to grill again

Congrats on a great find!

This grill helps shed some light on something @Craig and I were talking about a while back.  There are two different versions of these wheels, one has straight line treads (like yours) and the other has a center line in the tread (see below). Craig and I had come to the conclusion that the wheels like yours must be the earlier version of that style wheel. Your patent pending is most likely a later '72 that got wheels from '73.

Thanks for the feedback!   That's a very logical conclusion.  It's the first time I've seen wheels like these.
