An interesting side note - a couple years ago someone scored a Wood Dale stamped "Demo".  It was a demonstrator for a retailer back in the 1950's.  Apparently the individual who scored it contacted Weber and was told it was a rare breed.  It was noted that the vent on this particular grill was also in the modern position.  Someone in the thread noted that Weber started experimenting with the vent in the modern position in the late 1950's.  An interesting mystery......
