A while back, my wife was asking for some ideas for Father's Day gifts, and I of course put in a not-too-subtle hint about Brian's (zavod) handles. Which he of course came through on like a champ-- I've given his handles to others, but these are my first ones for myself, and they are spectacular.
Anyway, I guess in their emailing about the surprise, my wife asked Brian for some other ideas, and he said the thing *he* was hoping for on June 16 was a Craycort grate. Badabing, my kids delivered one to the side of the bed this morning with a cup of coffee. Awesome. A perfect gift, because it's something I would never even think to get for myself.
So Brian, my friend, here's to you!
The sideways K, all ready to go to town.
before/after. The attention to detail that Brian brings is astounding:
(pardon the dust and grease-- she's a cooker, not a looker)
Marking the pineapple for upside-down cake.
Upside-down cake on the Weber cooling rack.
Potatoes and Vidalia onion finishing their roast while the whole boneless chicken rests.
