Gidday from Australia!

picked up a weber kettle with GBS after thinking about it for literally 2 years. I also got myself the Igrill 2, some briquettes and some lump charcoal.
never used a kettle before but have been watching videos for years! any suggestions on the first cook?

Welcome from just outside Chicago, Illinois! I like using the two zone method, hot side and not as hot side. Try out a brined porkchop recipe that interests you. Inexpensive, tasty, and you learn about your grills cooking zones.
I swear, when I score a great deal on a 26" I'll stop buying grills... So often.

Hello from Plainfield Indiana USA!   I’m with JEBIV.   Keep it simple.  The suggestion on two fire zone is very versatile and you can cook the majority of foods that way.  Good luck.  Enjoy!
