Stupid United gave me minor trouble taking the package. It was right at the limit for weight due to the doublewalled box and packing material BUT it was slightly over the regular accepted linear dimensions of 62" linear inches and I couldn't pass it through this time. It was still cheaper than rush airmail and Amex reimburses me for checked baggage fees so it's all good.
The kettle still needs some work before it reaches it's original glory. I am tending to this week before the meet. It did make it safely so let me know if anyone needs tips for packing a kettle onto checked baggage.
Here's my other package of bbq related stuff going up to the counter. This one made it fee free.
Can you guess whats inside this one? lol!
That's not the prize one, is it?
would you trust an airline with YOUR prized kettle?
