Clearly I know the answer but I had to share
So a couple weeks ago I was walking to grab a drink in the neighborhood and I walked past a kettle underneath a dirty Weber cover sitting out by the curb. Legs looked to be in decent shape so I just figured if it's still there when I walk back I'll grab it up. I know what you're thinking and YES I should've just grabbed it right then and there but I was on a schedule and couldn't.
Sure enough when I came back by it was still in the same spot so just to be sure I rang the bell and asked if he was tossing it. The guy said "Yep it's bulk trash week so if you want it, it's yours"
Wheeled it the couple blocks back to my house without even taking off the cover figuring worst case scenario I'll have another kettle for a project or parts...
Couldn't believe the color and the condition! Wanted a Copper for awhile and all it took was a light cleanup. inside looked like it was maybe cooked on half a dozen times. No shots of that, but did the standard cleanup and burn off of someone else's whatever, and now have one hell of a free cooker.
