Dark Blue Smokey Joe Gold
« on: May 01, 2019, 05:57:39 PM »
Found a dark blue smokey joe gold today at Goodwill.  I didn't see Dark Blue without a beer logo anywhere on the list.  Wonder where it came from.  Its missing the legs and the vents but its never been used.

Anyone have some info?

Does anyone have legs and side vents laying around, I'd be hip to purchase!

Wow! Excellent score. You can scrounge those parts off any Black SJ Gold.

No legs? Damn, that sucks! You can sell it to me, I'll take it off your hands. LOL! If you call Weber customer service, and explain the situation, you might get a decent price deal on both the legs & side dampers, or even free! While you're at it, you can register the grill.

The "DH," code on the lid damper puts it at the year, 2004. Nice score indeed!

Absolute last resort, when all else fails: https://www.fix.com/parts/grill/weber/fix10511081/leg-kit-63072/?SourceCode=18

You are probably lucky that parts were missing.  That probably helped keep it unused, donated, & prevent people who saw it before you from buying it.  If you are not in a hurry, the least expensive option would be to keep an eye out for a lightly used black one in good condition.  Often, they are priced pretty cheap.

I found a logo SJ & wound up going back to pick it up for someone.
Then, forgot who the heck I picked it up for.  So, I still have it.

I really need to scroll through my old messages & see if I can find out who I picked it up for.

Hal

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill
