So about a year ago I'm surfing the web and I come  across something of interest in NJ and I reached out to @DrewZ to let him know about it. Can't remember if he was on it already but I know it wasn't up long. Later that day he texts me pictures and I congratulate him. I tell him if nhe  ever considers  letting it go to please contact me. About a month ago I get a text from Drew asking if I was interested. Oh Hell Yeah! I asked how much and he asked what I had to trade. I offered a few things before we came to an agreement. Well it finally is in the family. All I can say is Drew is one Hell of a Grillfella. Drew and I have met up a few times. Thanks brother. OK, she's never been cooked on. She's a Code 18 with "The One The Only" handles. Absolutely beautiful. Matches my NIB C code SJ

Homerdog

That's a great looking 18, classy classic!

To paraphrase from the A-Team: I love it when a trade comes together.  I'll be posting about the other end of the trade after I make a few tweaks . . .

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Besides being beautiful what strikes me right away
is how heavy the cooking grate is compared to
later offerings.

Awesome guys!  That's a great looking grill.  This is such a cool group...

Can you prove it? We need some more data for this thread anyway.

Not really Marty, just going on appearances.
I probably should have used the term "looks" instead of "is".

I have an 18 from that era but the grates are definitely replacements.
Maybe @CatskillSmoker would be kind enough to take some weights and measures
and add it to the appropriate thread.

Congrats, Colin! Those are the best handles!

Huge shout out to @db3694 for the assist on this beauty. I'm in the middle of buying a new house and picking up another grill puts me on thin ice with the Mrs. when Drew brought this to the Lou Crew's attention, I couldn't pass it up!  Thank you very much, Drew.

Sorry, I intended to begin a new thread but mistakenly added it to this one. Oops!
