So far so good. I did have to take off a layer of rust so it's a bit thinner but obviously not much. Then used some high heat grease and it fit all but about 1cm. I gave the end of the handle a tap with the rubber mallet and it seems good to go.

You did a wonderful job on the restor. I like how clean the sweep and crossbar mod worked. No hose clamps, screws, or rivets needed. I'll definitely be using that idea.
