Rotisserie for 22 kettle or SLow n Sear
« on: October 24, 2018, 09:40:08 AM »
Hello All,

Recently purchased the kettle 22 limited edition and now i am considering buying the rotisserie attachment or the Slow and Sear.  In your opinion which one should i get first?

I already have the Weber charcoal baskets and they work great in my opinion.

I'm going to vote for the rotisserie here.  Like you said, you already have baskets and you can build a snake for low and slow cooks.  The only way to spin meat is the roto, go get it.
Looking for: Red MBH 26"(The Aristocrat), Chestnut-coppertone (The Estate), Glen-blue (The Imperial), and The Plainsman.

You will never regret purchasing the rotisserie. I haven’t!

It's always better when you're cooking on a Weber!

I'm another vote for a rotisserie.  I have both the SnS and the rotisserie.  You can't duplicate the self basting qualities of a rotisserie.  Turkeys and chickens are amazing done on a rotisserie.

I just bought the slow-n-sear and love it! I also was looking at the rotisserie as well but I grill and smoke more than anything so that was what led me to slow-n-sear but either way you cant go wrong!

Rotisserie for sure. It is the one attachment that is impossible to  fake.

Rotisserie hands down. I had 3 SnS at one point but haven't used one in months. Better yet, get more than one and spin away.

another vote for rotisserie.  Lots of people like their SnS but I personally think they're a bit overrated as its simple enough to get very very similar results using various other methods.
Its amazing how quickly one weber kettle turns into more than a dozen!  Always open to grabbing something interesting so let me know what you've got!

A roti is the best investment you’ll make for your kettle.

Not to hijack this but what is the preferred Rotisserie?

From what I've seen, the Weber seems most prevalent here.  I have two.  The one I keep at home looks great with the black accents on the LE red.  Others have their own preferences, which has been discussed in other threads.

I’m spinning a whole eye of round over a pan of beer and onions with a little cherry for smoke as we speak.
