Wish I could tell all of you it was me that this post was about, but it is my SIL. He's a great guy, long time Weber user, and has a keen eye for vintage Weber's.

Saturday they are headed to a nearby nursery and he spots this.

He texts me immediately and I tell him to "get that now!"  We'll, he has no cash on him, and wants to know how much money he should bring with him to try and buy the grill.   I tell him bring a nice clean one to trade, and some cash. I kinda tell him what I would do to acquire it .  He doesn't have one he wants to offer, so I give him a real nice red PP that I have all shined up.

He comes and gets it and an hour later sends me this.

The guy didn't want to sell, but when he saw the red one he jumped right away. Turns out his landlord backed over his old grill and went out to the barn to replace what he ran over with the yellow.

Also, on Friday I was in contact with a guy who wanted a red ssp and he had an older 26" to trade. .  My SIL has a red SSP in storage for over a year.(he has another SSP he uses regularly.) I ask him if he's looking for a 26" and he agrees to a trade. Here's a few more pics.

Quite a weekend!

Nice. My dad had a yellow one just like it. That's what I learned to cook on. I'd love to get my hands on one. Been looking for a while now.
