Today's Pickups
« on: May 30, 2013, 05:30:00 PM »
Here ya go...not bad considering I only wanted the plum 18er. Got the smokey joe thrown in for free and paid $20 for the Bears grill. The original listing said it was a Bears Weber Smokey Joe but did not have a picture. Took a chance and unfortunately its a giant helmet grill, lol! Not sure what color handles I'll need for the plum but I'll be in touch with you soon Brian. Stu, do you have a plum one like this?

Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

Nice additions Terry.  I did have a plum (dare I call it maroon) but at the time wasnt a big fan of the color so I gave it to my sister.  It had a few dings in it and was rusty in spots but she didn't care.  With time, the color has started to grow on me.....

Plum?  Weber made 'plum' kettles?   Great, another color I'm going to have to convince my wife I 'need' to have!

Yeah, Swamprb has one:

and here is another from TVWBB:

I haven't seen these on the forums too often, but they do come in the most random models, like 18" OTP.

Just to be a little more clear, there is an obvious difference in color from burgundy to plum, eggplant or whatever color its being called.

Here is a pic of a red MT next to a burgundy one.  There is clearly no purple, plum, eggplant coloring in it.  I've seen a plum one in person, it has definite purple coloring in it.  Terry...bring your plum 18 on the 15th...we'll put it next to my two MT's.
